Fonds Gehandicaptensport Lottery
Online fundraising: The new direction of Fonds Gehandicaptensport with digital lotteries
Fonds Gehandicaptensport (FGS) is dedicated to making sports and physical activities accessible to people with disabilities. To achieve this, funding is essential. FGS regularly organizes benefit events to raise money for this important cause. Traditionally, a lottery has been a key part of these events, helping to generate funds. In the past, this was done manually with paper ticket booklets, leading to a lot of administrative work. Thanks to the Lotify platform, FGS found an innovative way to run a digital lottery, resulting in higher proceeds without adding extra workload for the organization.
"Thanks to the charity lottery, €28,900 was raised in one evening."

Making the shift: From analog to digital
The decision to digitize the lottery wasn’t made overnight. Therefore, a test lottery was first held during the annual golf day for partners. FGS quickly noticed higher engagement and less administrative hassle. The lottery received additional attention thanks to QR codes placed on the golf course, leading to the lottery page. This allowed participants to easily purchase tickets via iDeal on-site.
A sense of friendly competition even emerged among attendees: who could buy the most tickets for the good cause and take home the prizes? This competition was reflected in the results of the lottery. The amount of €3,660 surpassed previous analog lotteries held during the golf day!
Higher revenue
Greater engagement from the network
Less administration and more structure
All in compliance with Dutch laws and regulations
Incredible results at the charity gala
Following this successful 'first trial,' Fonds Gehandicaptensport implemented the same digitalization at the annual charity gala. With the help of QR codes on tables and in the program booklet, participation in the lottery was encouraged. Despite the relatively high ticket price of €50 each, many guests immediately bought tickets for the entire table. As a result, €28,900 was raised in just one evening!
