Digital lottery during Erasmus MC Foundation benefit event
An evening of connection, music, and fundraising for bladder cancer research
The Erasmus MC Foundation is the central place where all fundraising initiatives within Erasmus MC come together. Through this foundation, all projects that contribute to better healthcare and scientific research receive support. In May – Bladder Cancer Awareness Month – the foundation organized a benefit evening that offered an accessible and effective way to raise money for bladder cancer research.
Lottery, bingo and music: a festive night for a good cause
During the benefit event Blaas ’t dak eraf, healthcare professionals and other supporters gathered for an evening full of impact and connection. The program featured a lively mix of music, bingo, and a digital lottery, powered by the Lotify platform. The combination of entertainment and fundraising made it easy and enjoyable for attendees to contribute to vital scientific research.
Smart use of lottery bundles
To maximize proceeds, the lottery was set up strategically. Visitors could purchase single tickets, but those who opted for a bundle of five received a free entry ticket and bingo card. This approach encouraged participants to buy multiple tickets, resulting in a larger contribution toward the evening’s goal: raising funds for bladder cancer research.
Multiple ways to support the cause
In addition to participating in the digital lottery, guests also had the option to make a direct donation. By offering various ways to contribute, everyone could support bladder cancer research in a way that suited them best.

A meaningful result for an important cause
Bladder Cancer Awareness Month made a valuable contribution to research, with the following results:
✔️ Total raised – €3.655
Thanks to all the efforts and involvement, a significant amount was raised to support scientific research into bladder cancer.
✔️ Raised through the digital lottery – €2.575
A large part of this amount came from the digital lottery during the benefit event. The combination of entertainment and charitable giving once again proved to be a successful formula.
