Sweepstakes that work: TREK’s lead generation with Lotify
Collecting hundreds of new leads—how do you do it? By running a sweepstake through the Lotify platform—900 new leads in a single day, to be exact. At least, that’s what bicycle brand TREK achieved. Curious? Let us explain how!
Developing the concept
There are countless possibilities when it comes to sweepstakes. Our platform offers different game formats, but our creative minds are far from running out of ideas. That’s why we kicked off our collaboration with TREK with an inspiration session. Heads together, goals clear, and brainstorming in full swing. Within an hour, we had gathered the best ideas and selected the most promising and feasible ones. This resulted in two exciting sweepstakes!
TREK at the expo
On January 20, 2023, TREK launched Lotify’s first Belgian sweepstake during the largest cycling expo in the Benelux: Velofollies in Kortrijk. TREK had its own stand at the event and organized a sweepstake where visitors had to answer the following question:
“What type of drivetrain does the new TREK Fetch+ 4 cargo bike have?”

A total of 900 participants answered the question, competing for prizes like cycling shoes! Since they provided a commercial opt-in, all 900 participants were added to TREK’s database—an instant boost in leads.
Crack the Safe
In addition to the quiz in Belgium, TREK also launched the Crack the Safe sweepstake through our platform. We built a custom safe, fully branded in TREK style, where participants could scan a QR code. After scanning, they were directed to a dedicated campaign page to enter their details. They then received a unique code via email, which they could enter into the safe. If they were lucky, the safe would open, and they’d win a high-quality cycling helmet!
The first event saw over 100 participants—and this is just the beginning. TREK plans to use the safe activation at multiple events in the near future!
